Withington Girls School

Withington Girls School carried out typical essential IT infrastructure work over the summer period, only to discover that the Cisco ASA5500 series firewall was incorrectly configured and caused a critical service outage to the school’s Internet connectivity.

The Network Manager, Andy Lockett received no support from their incumbent supplier and spent approximately 13 hours restoring the firewall‘s security policies. Andy engaged Cisco and subsequently ConvergeOne to obtain support on the firewall.

ConvergeOne is a SmartCare partner and provided the necessary cover for Withington Girls School to ensure that the school’s security and integrity for the internet was stabilised to install confidence of the pupils and staff.

Further intermittent issues have been resolved to increase the performance of the service courteous of the new found relationship with ConvergeOne.
